The bloke had many faults, he is a tortured genius and a fruit loop and most definitely a legend.

Lets be honest there was something very special about DiCanio. Name another player that is a total legend at 3 major clubs Celtic, West Ham and Lazio, (you cant count Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton)

I was not born to witness Moore and I was too young to remember Brooking and Bonds.

So Di Canio for me is the best player I have ever seen in a West Ham shirt.

Sheer class and an absolute legend. Without a doubt, my favourite West Ham player of all time.

Watched this last night.
Brought back some great memories. Who else in our squad at the moment would you say would raise the excitement and anticipation levels as much as PDC did in his day? No one.
I remember the chorus of his name being sung across the ground before games and his arrogance and petulance and sheer fucking genius. None of our players have delivered anywhere near the sheer entertainment level that the mad Italian bastard did for the time he was here. I would have him back at the club in a heartbeat in whatever role he wanted. As he said 'listen to DiCanio and you win' end of story.

Everything about him was gold not just the goals. Catching the ball when keeper was injured, crying, pushing refs and wrestling the ball off Lumplard for a penalty.

The man was sheer class.

He was an amazing player and had an edge that warmed you to him. Would think he was a legend no matter which team he played for, the fact he played for us makes him even more than that

For all his flaws there hasn't been a more entertaining player for West Ham in recent history.
Used to love watching him, Sinclair & Joe Cole together.
Would love to see that sort of football again.
